The World of MHA:Origins

In this world humans have begun to develop powers, these powers now called quirks are a special, superhuman ability. In the beginning, criminals used these new powers and the world entered an era of mass crime by those who would abuse their powers. Over time as the number of people with quirks increased there would be those who would use their quirks to stop those who would commit crimes.

From this, the birth of the Hero Association was created and the regulation of Heroes was started. In times laws defining when quirks could be used and to what purpose were passed. Those who defied these laws were hunted down and brought to justice by the Heroes who were able to earn a Professional Hero License. Currently, there are schools that train the youth to take over as the next generation of heroes.

Heroes who manage to earn a Professional Hero License often set up their own organizations in order to work with other Heroes or to train younger and newer Heroes who only just earned their Professional Hero License.
